We Were Always Here – Group Exhibition
04.10 — 19.10.25

Having recently relocated to a larger space, Living Room now functions not only as an exhibition venue, but also as a home for artists’ studios ~ a shared environment where works develop side by side and dialogue is built.
Our first group exhibition celebrates that spirit of proximity and exchange. Bringing together the approaches of Nadja Geer, Nikoletta Georgakopoulou, Nikos Katsampanis, Auðunn Kvaran, Maisie Maris, Daphnis Monastiriotis, Eirini Tiniakou, Riccardo Vitali, Vasilis Zarifopoulos, the exhibition presents a variety of voices shaped within and beyond the studio walls.
Various processes meet in a shared space that equally emphasizes process and outcome, and connection as much as individuality. In the circumstance of this exhibition, we found that each of our individual projects concentrate around the human experience: tracing a journey that begins with the body encountered as the natural element it is, reminding us of the materiality of existence.
Soon, the verticality of the urban environment reshapes this experience, placing the individual within architectures of space and relation. In this context, inner realities emerge ~ mental health, the loneliness that comes with simply existing, and the uncanny familiarity of the abyss ~ revealing the soft fragility and the yielding resilience of our inner worlds. From there, the longing and eventual pursuit of intimacy arises: how, and where, can we find each other when each of us is lost in our personal experiences? Within the quiet ache of existing between worlds ~ our own and the Other’s. Realising the differences in our individuality. Or, how disproportionate things may look now compared to ideals of times that no longer apply today. We still dare to become vulnerable, raise our hands to hold and be held, and give each other the coordinates in order to find and be found.
Ultimately, this trajectory reflects an endless negotiation between nature and city, body and mind, solitude and connection ~ a continuous attempt to anchor meaning and direction within the vastness of human existence.
Instead of dwelling on these topics to seek answers or solutions, try to meditate on these essential aspects of existing ~ what is important to you? What significance does each element of your life hold?
