Vasilis Zarifopoulos — They Told Me I Have the F29 Disease but I am Afraid of Flights

15.03 — 14.04.25

RUN
A common symptom of mental illness is when you
have the strong hallucination that somebody is
chasing you, also combined with the long distance
walks as a form of therapy. This painting is about a
symptom but also autobiographical after an incident
when I was shot with an airgun by a stranger.

F29
Unspecified psychosis, defined with the F29 code
in the International Classification of Diseases (ICD).
F29 is also the model of a failed Fighter Jet that
was later used by NASA. Doppel meaning or code
speaking was also a symptom when I experience a
crisis

PAIN
Four years ago when my doctor changed my
medication, I experienced a mental health crisis and
the Exploding Head Syndrome, which is actually a
sleep disorder. It is a harmless condition, however,
I could hear sounds, which worried me a lot. During
the sleepless nights, I began searching for similar
sounds online. I found a video with the sound of a
dying star. It was exactly the same. The nurofen logo
has also a double meaning, not only as a corrupted
pharma industry but also as a painkiller and graphic
about a dying star.
