Eva Ísleifs was born in 1982 in Reykjavik, Iceland. She received her BA-degree in Fine Arts from the Icelandic University of the Arts in 2008 and her MFA-degree in Sculpture from Edinburgh College of Art.
Eva’s works have been exhibited in many places across Europe. Recent exhibitions are the solo exhibition, ‘The Earth is my Bed’ in Kling&Bang and ‘HIC SVNT DRACONES’ in Gallerí Kverk in Reykjavik, Iceland and ‘Getting out of Zola’ in MEME in Athens, Greece. Eva also curated ‘HEAD to HEAD’ which took place in Athens in 2021 in collaboration with Kling&Bang and will take place in Reykjavik in 2024. She also curated the biennale Staðir/Places 2013 in collaboration with Þorgerður Ólafsdóttir and Becky Forsythe.
